PROVIDENCE AT THE HEIGHTS
Providence at the Heights
Aurora, Colorado
This unique transitional facility is located in Aurora and offers formerly incarcerated men and women the tools they need to get back to a normal life.
Providence at the Heights provides its residents with everything they need to reenter society including a community kitchen, computer/training room, counseling center, meeting rooms, “moon room” for meditation, gym with showers, shared laundry, a bike shop, and barber facilities. The outdoor community space includes an eating/activity area, a community garden with a walking path, and playground for children. This LIHTC project used Davis-Bacon wages and was partially funded through CHFA tax credits.
The project participated in Enterprise Green Communities which established energy efficiencies and sustainability goals for the project. This project was only the second commercial building constructed in Colorado with a Cross Laminated Timber truss system.
